With the RTTO series oval table top covers from Raffles Covers you protect the most vulnerable part of your oval garden table: the table top. Ideal for tables with a central pedestal, a spider-leg frame or legs that are set further in, where mainly the top needs protection. You cover only the top, so the overall look of your garden remains calm, while the table top is well protected against the elements and dirt.

The RTTO series is suitable for oval table tops in three sizes (200 x 110 cm, 220 x 115 cm and 240 x 120 cm) with a maximum top thickness of approx. 5 cm. This makes it easy to find a suitable oval table top cover for your wooden, natural stone or composite table top.

Material & protection

Every cover in the RTTO series is made from robust 600D Solution Dyed Oxford polyester (approx. 230 g/m²), comparable to the material used for quality sports and outdoor bags. The inside has a breathable, water-repellent TPU coating. This fabric:

• protects the table top against rain, snow, dirt and bird droppings
• helps prevent weathering and discolouration from sunlight
• as a material is waterproof, UV- and frost-resistant
• is solution dyed, so the colour stays attractive for a long time
• is PFAS-free in the latest models

The double-stitched seams are finished on the inside with PU tape, making them extra strong and splashproof.

Breathable fabric & managing condensation

The material is breathable, but because a table top cover consists almost entirely of a horizontal surface, there are no separate Airvents as with tall covers. If the fabric lies directly on the top, condensation can form with changing temperatures, especially on wooden tops. This is caused by:

• condensation of rainwater on and underneath the cover
• moisture present in the material of the table top

To reduce moisture marks and “sweating” of the table top, it is important always to create a high point under the cover. That's why every RTTO cover comes with a free Water Shedding Cushion RWSC5050 included as standard: place this inflatable cushion in the middle of the table to create a high point under the cover.

• creates extra height in the middle of the cover
• improves air circulation between fabric and top
• helps rainwater run off the cover more easily

This significantly reduces the risk of moisture marks and mould.

Design & fastening

Raffles Covers oval table top covers are designed for daily, practical use and fit neatly around the oval top. In addition to the elastic drawcord around the underside, which pulls the cover snugly under the top, the cover has a Click & Close strap in the middle. You pull this strap under the table top and click it closed, keeping the cover firmly in place so it cannot blow away. This makes the RTTO series ideal for tables with a central pedestal, spider-leg frame or legs positioned further in from the edge. Every cover comes with a storage bag for neat storage in fine weather, plus the free Water Shedding Cushion RWSC5050 against water pooling and condensation. The heavy Oxford fabric is also quiet, so the cover does not flap annoyingly in the wind.

Suitable tables & applications

The RTTO series is suitable for various oval table and top types, such as:

• garden tables with a spider-leg frame or stainless steel/aluminium frame, where mainly the wooden or HPL top needs protection
• tables with a central leg or pedestal or legs set further in from the edge
• tops made of teak, hardwood, glass, HPL, Trespa or composite

If you also want to protect the table legs, choose a full garden table cover from the RT series instead of a table top cover.

Usage tips for oval table top covers

• Measure the top at the outside: length and width.
• Choose a cover that fits as closely as possible; extra slack is usually not necessary.
• Ideally fit the cover on a dry table top.
• Place the included Water Shedding Cushion RWSC5050 in the middle of the table to create a high point under the cover, against water pockets and condensation.
• Tighten the cover with the elastic drawcord and pull the Click & Close strap under the table top to secure the cover firmly, so it cannot blow away.
