Cover Solutions ProCap BBQ covers – waterproof protection for barbecues from 110 to 160 cm wide

A Cover Solutions ProCap BBQ cover protects your barbecue against rain, snow, dirt, dust and UV radiation when it is not in use. This range includes four sizes for barbecues approximately 110 to 160 cm wide. All sizes are 53 cm deep and H: 108 cm high. Measuring your barbecue carefully before ordering helps you avoid choosing a cover that is unnecessarily loose or too tight.

The barbecue covers are made from durable ProCap material. The inner layer is 100% polyester and the outer layer is 100% polyurethane. The covers have a waterproof construction with welded seams and are breathable and UV resistant. This material construction protects the barbecue against different weather conditions and helps reduce condensation beneath the cover.

Which size BBQ cover do you need?

The overall width of your barbecue provides the first indication of whether you need size S, M, L or XL. Always measure from the furthest protruding point on the left to the furthest point on the right. Include fixed side tables, side burners, handles and other protruding parts.

Next, check the maximum depth and total height. All covers in this ProCap range have a depth of 53 cm and a height of H: 108 cm. Width alone is therefore not enough to determine the correct BBQ cover.

  • Size S: 119 × 53 H: 108 cm – recommended for barbecues approximately 110–119 cm wide
  • Size M: 129 × 53 H: 108 cm – recommended for barbecues approximately 120–129 cm wide
  • Size L: 139 × 53 H: 108 cm – recommended for barbecues approximately 130–139 cm wide
  • Size XL: 160 × 53 H: 108 cm – recommended for barbecues approximately 140–160 cm wide

The stated dimensions include an allowance of approximately 1–3 cm extra in length and width. This additional room makes the cover easier to fit without unnecessarily stretching the material.

How to measure your barbecue for the right cover

First measure the maximum width of the complete barbecue. Then measure its greatest depth from front to back, followed by the total height from the ground to the highest fixed part. Protruding handles, controls, side burners and fixed side tables must fit within the selected cover dimensions.

Does your barbecue have folding side tables? Measure it in the position in which you intend to cover it. If the side tables will remain folded beneath the cover, measure the barbecue with them folded.

Check all three dimensions before ordering. A barbecue measuring 125 cm wide, for example, falls within size M based on width. However, if it is deeper than 53 cm or higher than 108 cm, size M is not automatically suitable.

S, M, L or XL: which BBQ cover fits your barbecue?

A barbecue approximately 110–119 cm wide falls within the recommended range for size S. For widths of 120–129 cm, size M is the first option to check. Barbecues measuring 130–139 cm fall within the L range, while size XL is available for models approximately 140–160 cm wide.

Is your barbecue close to the boundary between two sizes? Do not automatically choose the larger cover. Compare the width, depth and height with both sizes first. An oversized cover contains more loose material, while a cover that is too small may be placed under tension.

ProCap material: waterproof, breathable and UV resistant

A good barbecue cover should do more than simply keep direct rain off your BBQ. Moisture beneath the cover also deserves attention. ProCap therefore combines an outer layer of 100% polyurethane with a breathable inner layer of 100% polyester.

The BBQ cover has a waterproof construction with welded seams. This prevents rainwater from entering through conventional stitched seams. At the same time, the breathable material helps moisture escape and reduces condensation beneath the protective cover.

Ventilation remains important during prolonged outdoor use. Ideally, fit the cover over a dry barbecue and check regularly for moisture beneath it. Air the barbecue and cover during dry weather when necessary.

Protection against sunlight and changing weather conditions

A barbecue kept outdoors is exposed to more than rain. Snow, dirt, dust and prolonged exposure to sunlight can also affect it. ProCap material is therefore designed for long-term outdoor use and is UV resistant.

When the barbecue is not in use, the protective cover forms a practical barrier against the elements. This helps keep your barbecue cleaner and reduces the amount of dirt, leaves and dust that need removing before its next use.

Antibacterial and tested according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

The ProCap material has antibacterial properties and has been tested according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. ProCap protective covers are manufactured in Europe according to established quality standards.

Drawstring for a neat and secure fit

A drawstring runs around the lower edge of the BBQ cover. It allows you to tighten the cover around the barbecue, creating a neater fit and helping reduce the risk of the lower edge lifting in normal wind conditions.

Always check the cover and its fastening when strong winds or storms are expected. Considerably greater forces can act on the cover on an exposed patio, balcony or other windy location.

Which barbecues are ProCap covers suitable for?

ProCap BBQ covers are suitable for various freestanding gas barbecues, barbecue trolleys and similar barbecues that fit within the available dimensions. The actual external dimensions are more important than the barbecue brand or model.

Pay particular attention to side tables, side burners and handles. On many gas barbecues, these determine the overall width. Also check the depth carefully, as all covers in this range have a maximum depth of 53 cm.

The shaped upper section provides space around the barbecue hood. The maximum external dimensions of your barbecue nevertheless remain decisive for a suitable fit.

Using your BBQ cover safely

Only fit the protective cover over a barbecue that is switched off, completely cool and dry. Grill grates, lids, side burners and other components can remain hot for some time after use. Wait until every part has cooled completely.

Keep the protective cover away from naked flames and direct heat sources. Always remove the BBQ cover completely before lighting or using the barbecue.

Maintaining your ProCap BBQ cover

  • Ideally fit the cover over a clean, dry and completely cool barbecue
  • Remove surface dirt with lukewarm water and a soft cloth or brush
  • The protective cover can be washed at a maximum of 30 °C when required
  • Do not use aggressive cleaning products, bleach or solvents
  • Allow the cover to dry completely before refitting or storing it
  • Avoid contact with sharp edges and protruding parts that could damage the material

Frequently asked questions about ProCap BBQ covers

Which BBQ cover do I need for a barbecue that is 115 cm wide?

A barbecue measuring 115 cm wide falls within size S based on width. This cover measures 119 × 53 H: 108 cm and is recommended for barbecues approximately 110–119 cm wide. Check the depth and height before ordering as well.

Which cover fits a barbecue that is 125 cm wide?

A barbecue measuring 125 cm wide falls within the recommended range for size M. This cover measures 129 × 53 H: 108 cm. The maximum depth and total height of your barbecue must also fit within these cover dimensions.

Which BBQ cover fits a barbecue that is 135 cm wide?

For a barbecue measuring 135 cm wide, size L is the first size to check. Size L measures 139 × 53 H: 108 cm and is intended for barbecues approximately 130–139 cm wide.

Which size is suitable for a barbecue that is 150 cm wide?

A barbecue measuring 150 cm wide falls within the XL range. This cover measures 160 × 53 H: 108 cm and is intended for barbecues approximately 140–160 cm wide. Always check the depth and height as well.

Can I choose the right BBQ cover based on width alone?

No. Width indicates which size is likely to be suitable, but the maximum depth and total height must also fit. All covers in this ProCap range are 53 cm deep and H: 108 cm high.

Is a ProCap BBQ cover waterproof?

Yes. These ProCap BBQ covers have a waterproof construction with welded seams. The outer layer is 100% polyurethane. The breathable polyester inner layer helps moisture escape and reduces condensation beneath the cover.

Why is breathable material important for a barbecue cover?

Temperature differences can cause condensation beneath a protective cover. The breathable ProCap material helps moisture escape and reduces condensation. Regular ventilation and moisture checks are still recommended during prolonged outdoor use.

How much additional room does the BBQ cover have?

The stated dimensions include an allowance of approximately 1–3 cm extra in length and width. This additional room makes the cover easier to fit without unnecessarily stretching the material.

Can I put the BBQ cover over a warm barbecue?

No. Allow the barbecue and all components to cool completely first. Only fit the protective cover once the barbecue is cool and dry. Remove the cover completely before using the barbecue again.

Can a ProCap BBQ cover remain outdoors all year?

ProCap material is designed for long-term outdoor use and protects against rain, snow, dirt and UV radiation. Check the cover and barbecue regularly and provide additional ventilation during dry periods if moisture has formed beneath the cover.

Which Cover Solutions ProCap BBQ cover do you need?

Model Cover dimensions Recommended barbecue width
CS-BBQ-S119 119 × 53 H: 108 cm Approx. 110–119 cm
CS-BBQ-M129 129 × 53 H: 108 cm Approx. 120–129 cm

CS-BBQ-XL160 160 × 53 H: 108 cm Approx. 140–160 cm

Measuring advice: Always measure the maximum width, depth and total height of your barbecue. Include fixed side tables, side burners, handles and other protruding parts. All models in this series are 53 cm deep and H: 108 cm high. A suitable width therefore does not automatically mean that the depth and height will also fit.

Does your barbecue have folding side tables? Measure the barbecue with the side tables in the position in which you intend to cover it.

Will a small gas BBQ fit the CS-BBQ-S119-Grey?

The Cover Solutions CS-BBQ-S119-Grey is a grey BBQ cover measuring 119 × 53 H: 108 cm. This compact size is designed for smaller gas barbecues and barbecue trolleys with maximum outer dimensions of approximately 119 × 53 cm.

A small BBQ will not automatically fit the S119. Depth can be the deciding factor. A barbecue may be less than 119 cm wide but still require more than 53 cm of depth because of a deep lid, handle or control knobs.

Check both dimensions separately. First measure the widest point from left to right, then the deepest point from front to back. Include fixed side tables, handles, side burners, control knobs and any other protruding parts.

When will the S119 fit? A barbecue measuring approximately 112 × 52 cm, for example, falls within the size range. A model measuring 118 × 55 cm is narrow enough but too deep for this cover. Both width and depth therefore need to fit.

You do not need to add a few centimetres of extra allowance when measuring. The CS-BBQ-S119 already has approximately 1–3 cm of built-in allowance in the length and width. This additional room is incorporated into the cover dimensions and should not be added to your BBQ measurements.

What if your BBQ measures almost 119 × 53 cm? It falls within the stated size range, but check the furthest protruding point carefully. Do not measure only the main body or frame. A handle, side burner or control panel can increase the actual outer dimensions.

The H: 108 cm cover height does not need to match the total height of your barbecue. A taller BBQ may also be suitable. Leaving approximately 10–20 cm between the bottom of the cover and the ground supports air circulation and helps reduce condensation beneath the cover.

When should you choose the M129 instead of the S119? If the maximum width exceeds approximately 119 cm, compare the CS-BBQ-M129 measuring 129 × 53 H: 108 cm. If only the depth exceeds approximately 53 cm, choosing a wider CS-BBQ size will not solve the problem: all models in this series have the same nominal depth of 53 cm.

Want to check which size fits your BBQ? Use our product finder and search using the maximum measured width and depth of your barbecue.

Compare CS-BBQ cover sizes

Model Cover dimensions BBQ up to approx.
CS-BBQ-S119 119 × 53 H: 108 cm 119 × 53 cm
CS-BBQ-M129 129 × 53 H: 108 cm 129 × 53 cm
CS-BBQ-L139 139 × 53 H: 108 cm 139 × 53 cm
CS-BBQ-XL160 160 × 53 H: 108 cm 160 × 53 cm

Important for the S119: check separately that your BBQ is no more than approximately 119 cm wide and 53 cm deep. A narrower width does not compensate for excessive depth. The approximately 1–3 cm built-in allowance is already incorporated into the cover dimensions.
